My name is Sonya Perez-Lauterbach, and I’m passionate about helping individuals and organizations navigate change well. Change is inevitable, but there are evidence-based approaches to ease the transition. Whether you’re looking for a new job, wanting to take on the challenge of a promotion, or tasked with leading your organization through a culture change or period of growth, I’m here to help.
The first part of my career at an international nonprofit showered me with lots of change. I saw five CEO transitions in six years, experienced three organizational restructurings and two rounds of layoffs. As an ‘intreprenuer’ I personally lead the development of a new program which challenged elements of the long-standing organizational culture and required careful navigation with stakeholders. Needless to say, I witnessed some change mistakes and made plenty of my own along the way. Looking back, I wish I knew then what I know now about change management and I wish I had employed a coach to walk with me through those changes.
Since that time I earned a M.S. in Learning & Organizational Change from Northwestern University and have had the privilege of working with several organizations and individuals to improve their change experience.
In addition to my coaching practice, I spend my time working as a collaborator with Triad Resource Group, loving on and taking care of my two young children, working on house projects, and volunteering with local organizations.
